  1. Hi there,

My name is Aaron Dye and I am a filmmaker currently producing a documentary about the Wichita mountains, ecotourism, and the relationships to this land of local Kiowa people. I have discussed these issues in some detail with members of the Kiowa community in Anadarko and have had the pleasure of cooperating on the project with a member of the Kiowa Language and Culture Revitalization project.

I am writing to inquire about the possibility of licensing one of Tom’s songs for use in the documentary. I would love to include music by a Kiowa musician during the scenes of the film in which Dorothy Whitehouse Delaune discusses the Kiowa migration from Wyoming to Oklahoma, the significance of such mountains as Mount Scott (k’op aydl), Saddle Mountain (tau k’op), and Rainy Mountain (sépyàldà).

I would love to license “Yah-Vey-Tsee-Kee-Nah” for the film and to discuss details further with you. Please let me know!
