“Extension Courses in Religion

During February and March there is being given on Tuesday evenings in the Harper Memorial Library a series of extension courses in religion that are attracting wide attention. Dean Shailer Mathews, of the Divinity School, lectures on “What Is Modernism?” “The Bible in Religious Education of Fourth to Seventh Grades” is discussed by Miss Georgia L. Chamberlin, Secretary of the Institute of Sacred Literature; “The Social Origins of Christianity,” by Professor Shirley Jackson Case and Dr. Donald W. Riddle; and “The Debt of Modern Civilization to Egypt and the Ancient East,” by Mrs. Edith W. Ware in a Museum course.”
