“Melvin Morris Ware, 50 of Floris Route 2, died at his home Thursday at 7 PM. He was born May 25, 1896, on a farm in Wapello County and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ware. He was an employee of the John Morrell and company. Surviving are his wife Margaret; five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Lessley, Ottumwa; Miss Lucille Ware, Ottumwa; Misses Doris, Thelma and Shirley Ware, all at home; four sons, James Robert, Max and Benny, all at home; one granddaughter, Connie Sue Lessley; two brothers, Ray of Floris and Charlie, of Ottumwa and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Bates, Ottumwa Route 4. Services will be held Saturday at 2 PM at the Johnson funeral Chapel in charge of A.O. Smith of The Ward Street Gospel Hall. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.”
