"Jacob A. Wyant, 71, Cairnbrook RD 1, died June 4, 1983, 
in Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital.  Born June 22, 1911,
at Berlin RD, son of Jacob M. and Sara (Ware) Wyant.  
Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, three sisters 
and these children: infant daughter, Betty Louise and Gary 
Lee. Survived by widow, the former Effie Foust, and these 
children: James L., married to the former Joan Strasahmsky,
Johnstown; Kenneth R., married to the former Geraldine 
Pfeilsticker, Cairnbrook; Harold E., married to the former 
Delores Manges, Jerome; Evelyn, wife of William Weicht Jr., 
Central City; Helen, wife of Charles O'Shea, Bedford; Donna,
wife of Bruce Felix, Central City; Clyde, married to the 
former Judy Brant, Jenners; 16 grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.  He was the brother of Lydia Wyant, Akron, 
Ohio; Mary Beal, Stoystown; Minnie Zufall, Cumberland, Md.;
William, Acosta; and Lester, Warren, Ohio.  Friends will be 
received after 1 p.m. Monday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, 
Central City. Remains will be removed to the Graef Lutheran 
Church, Cairnbrook, Tuesday at 10 a.m. to lie in state until 
time of service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Woodrow J. Klinger 
officiating.  Interment, Walker  Cemetery, Shanksville."
