"Virginia Lee Clark Howard, 50, of 105 Washington Drive 
died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997.
      A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Howard was a
daughter of the late Virglee Ware and Charlie Clark Sr. 
She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church.
      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at 
Springfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Waymon
officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. 
The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
      Survivors include a son, Curtis Howard Jr., Athens; 
two brothers, Charlie Clark Jr. and Charlie Yearby, both 
of Athens; a son raised in the home, Larry Clark, Athens; 
and a grandson.
      Mack & Payne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements".
