“CHARLOTTE — Mrs. Lula Gertrude “Sweet” Archie Ware died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Brian Nursing Center. The funeral will be noon Saturday at Reeder Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be at New Zion Church cemetery in Rock Hill. Surviving are three sons, Sylvannis Ware of Charlotte and Moses Ware Jr. and Thelmo Ware, both of Buffalo, N.Y.; four daughters, Maggie Stroud, Eva Ruth Chapman and Leola White, all of Charlotte, and Ola M. Hinton of Buffalo; her brother, Leon Archie of Charlotte; 52 grand children; more than 90 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. King’s Funeral Home is in charge.”
