“Robert S. Ware of Eureka, died in St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, Kansas, Sunday, May 12, 1918, after an illness of several weeks. A severe cold developed into pneumonia and he was taken to Wichita several days ago, in the hope
that his life could be saved, but all that medical skills could do was of no avail.
Robert S. Ware, Eureka was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Ware, and was born July 8, 1886.
He was married to Miss Lida Wares of this county, and the sorrowing wife and one son, nine months old are left to mourn the death of a loving husband and father.
Beside his immediate family, he leaves his father, mother, four brothers, F.E., E.F., and Will all of this county, and Guy Ware who is a soldier at Camp Funston, also one sister, Mrs. H.M. Griffith of Pasadena, California.
Funeral service, conducted by Rev. J.W. Gilmore, was held at the residence in Eureka Wednesday, May 15. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
The sorrowing loved ones have the sympathy of many friends in their great bereavement.”
