“Mr. A.G. Ware, who lived in Gloucester county for some time years ago, died at his home in West Point Monday night. Although he had been somewhat feeble he had been feeling in his usual health when he retired. About twelve o’clock he turned over, took a long breath, and died instantly. Mr. Ware was a Confederate soldier and was highly respected by all who knew him. He was a charter member of the First Baptist Church at West Point and had been a deacon in that church many years before his death. His widow, who was Miss Evelyn Wise, two sons, Robert Bruce Ware of Boston, Mass., and Seldon Ware of New York, and one daughter, Miss Josephine Ware of West Point, survive him. The interment was in the West Point cemetery, Rev. E.W. Billings officiating.”
