“Ruby D. Ware, 88, of Fredericksburg, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Mary Washington Hospital.

Mrs. Ware was born on Jan. 23, 1923, in Sparta.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Sr. and Ora Byrd; her husband, Amos Ware Sr.; son Amos Jr.; daughter Nannie; sisters Evelyn, Lillian, Anne Laura and Ethel; brothers Bennie Jr. and Namon; grandchild Anthony; great-grandchildren Christole and Ra-Sheem; and sons-in-law Harvey L. Wilson and James Pierce.

Survivors include her sister, Beaulah Ware; five children, Peggy, Mary, Chester, Franklin (and Chava) and A’Tese; 24 grandchildren, Olisa, Antonio, Corneilus, Tamira (and Troy), Aretha, Robert, Trent, Adreka (and Lloyd Sr.), Ashiya, Monique, Jerrell, Larry, Syie, Torshan, Justice, Ray, Michael (and Sylvia), Sierra, Makayla, Teaira, Peggy, Chester III, Lakeisha (and Portius) and Marcus; 39 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one special nephew, Buster Ware; and two special friends, Mary Fleming and Grace Sprow.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, at Arm of the Lord Ministries, Fredericksburg. Interment will be in St. Stephens Baptist Church cemetery, Central Point, Milford.”
