“Mrs. Mary Gardner Dies at West Point

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Chapman Gardner Ware, 65, who died at the Ivy Memorial Hospital in West Point last Thursday afternoon, were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, from Hill’s Funeral Home in Houston.

The Rev. Flenoy Clark and the Rev. William G Watson officiated at the services. Interment was in Bethel cemetery, with Hill’s Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Ware was born in Chickasaw county, January 18, 1887, and had lived in this county her entire life. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Bob Criddle and Mrs. Ellis Marshall of West Point, Mrs. J R Dendy and Mrs. J W Morris of Woodland, and Mrs. Glenn Caldwell of Memphis, Tenn.; and one sister, Mrs. Delia Ware of Houston.

Pallbearers were: Thomas Ware, Floyd Ware, Allen Ware, George Raborn, Cecil Naron and Theron Bryant.”
