She was born on May 31, 1930, in Van Zandt County. She married Troy Ware on July 6, 1946, in Spur. He died on Sept, 8, 1992. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.

A daughter, Marie Henson, died on July 1, 1993.

Survivors include three sons, Buddy of Levelland and Calvin and Travis, both of Denver City; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.”
