Mary Catherine (Ware) Disher, 90,
died Dec.19, 2003, in Lilburn, Ga. She resided in Green Valley for 24 years before moving to Georgia in 2001. She was born March 27, 1913, in Indianapolis, Ind. Her parents were Harry and Margaret Ware. She married Richard C. Disher on May 23, 1935. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Stevens of Sebring, Fla. and Jean Glouton of Lilburn, Ga.; a son, David Disher of Indianapolis, Ind.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Ware. She attended Butler University in Indianapolis and was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. When she lived in Indianapolis, she tested eyes in the schools for Delta Gamma for many years. She also served on the alumni board at the Delta Gamma house at Butler University. After moving to Green Valley, she was secretary of the Esperanza Estates Association and served on the board there for many years. She also played in the Haven golf league. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, and was involved with the quilting group. She also enjoyed reading and bridge. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 5, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Burial will be at Green Valley Mortuary and Cemetery.
