Sandra “Denise” Groves Ware, 42, of Shelbyville died Saturday at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was a member of Clay Village Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Paul and Evelyn White, and husband, Thornton “Butch” Ware. Survivors include a daughter, Janie “Angel” Marie Ware, of Shelbyville; parents Gerald and Charlotte Groves of Shelbyville; sisters Connie Johnson of Waddy and Debbie Hammond of Harrodsburg; brothers Eddie Johnson of Orlando, Fla. and Michael Johnson of Taylorsville. Funeral services were Tuesday at Shannon Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Bolton officiated. Burial was in Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
