Steven Douglas Ware Obituary, 2004

Steven Douglas Ware, 42, of Glen Creek Road, Georgetown, died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Markey Cancer Center, following a courageous three-year battle with cancer. He was the husband of Jeannie Caroline Taylor for 22 years. He was born Nov. 9, 1961, in Lexington. He was a graduate of The Sayre School and the University of Kentucky and then received his Kentucky CPA license in 1985. He had just achieved his five-year recognition with Tenmast Software of Lexington as a systems architect. A member of the Lexington Rotarian Club since 1990, his many other interests included nature photography, bicycling, internet chess and computer programming. Survivors include his wife and his parents, Ray M. and Susan Ware, of Lexington. Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 11, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Nicholasville on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Ware requested that donations be made to the Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky. Johnson’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
