CALIFORNIA, Benicia | Margaret Povey Ware, 88 years old, passed away peacefully May 2, 2015 after a full life.

Born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, she returned to Los Angeles to complete her education and graduate from the Hollywood Presbyterian Nursing School as a registered nurse in 1949. She worked in several San Francisco Bay Area hospitals and met her husband Ernest Ware while he was her patient.

Margaret was a loving wife and mother, a “one of a kind” woman with a heart of gold. As a long time Benicia, California resident, she enjoyed many dear, long time friendships and worked as an obstetrics nurse at Sutter Vallejo General Hospital until her retirement. Margaret had a life filled with loving family and dear friends. She kept herself occupied with projects that involved gardening, sewing, cooking and crafts. Miniatures and doll houses were her passion, caring for people was her nature.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ernest Ware, Jr. and her son-in-law Thomas Ryll.

She is survived by her brother in Hagerman, Idaho Bud Povey; her daughter and son Kathleen Ryll and Ernest Ware III; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Ware; and three grandchildren, Stephanie Ryll and John and Valerie Ware.

A private memorial service is planned for a future date. She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Golden Gate National Veterans Cemetery in San Bruno, California.
