Trudie Jones Ware, 102, of El Dorado, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home.

Born March 2, 1900, in Tubal, she was the daughter of Jesse M. and Mary Eula Stevenson Jones. She was a retired salesperson and assistant buyer and a member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Shack Ware; and six brothers, Chester C., Julias “Sam,” Logan, Jewel S., W.S., and Frank Jones.

Survivors include a brother Craig Jones of El Dorado; and three sisters, Ruby E. Knighten of El Dorado, Agnes Thurmon of Kilgore, Texas, and Marguerite Miller of El Dorado.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Young’s Chapel with Dr. Lynn Worthen officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Sitters Fund, 1426 N. West Ave., El Dorado, AR 71730; Hudson Memorial Nursing Home, 700 N. College Ave., El Dorado; or First Baptist Church, 200 W. Main St., El Dorado.
