Eloise Margaret Ware, 89, passed away August 15, 2011, in Crescent City. She was born March 7, 1922 in Marietta, Ohio, and was a resident of Del Norte County for 28 years.

She was a member of AARP and was a very involved person in the community.

Eloise loved lighthouses and  was fortunate to have her daughter Karen and son-in-law Bill take her on outings to drive by the ocean to see Battery Point Lighthouse.

She is survived by her sisters Mary Ritchey and Sally Coon, daughters Karen Campbell and husband Bill and  Cathy Witt.  Grandchildren Bill, Jamie, Jeff, Michelle and Nicole. Great-grandchildren Billy, JJ, Zac, Noah, Keith, Samantha, Kevin, Hunter and Brock.

Sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eloise’s memory may be made at the service to the Point St George Lighthouse.

Memorial services will be held on October 15, at 11 a.m. at  Wier’s Mortuary Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
