BRANDON – Erbie C. Ware, 74, died of cancer Thursday, May 24, 2001, at his Brandon home.

His funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home in Brandon. Burial followed at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Ware, a former Clarksdale resident who retired from Coahoma Electric Power Association in 1989, was born Feb. 16, 1927, in Sebastapol. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Walker Hill Baptist Church in Brandon. He was a member of the Civitan Club.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Ware of Brandon; two sons, Gary Ware of Columbia, Tenn., and Larry Ware of Birmingham, Ala.; and a daughter, Cindy Robertson of Brandon.
