Michael Wayne Ware Obituary, 2015

TUPELO – Funeral services for Michael Wayne Ware, 53, formerly of Winona, will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at New Hope United Methodist Church in Winona. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with military honors at graveside. The Rev. Gary Gray and the Rev. Jim Holcomb will officiate the services.
Visitation will be today, Sept. 22, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home; and on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, from 10 a.m. until service time, at the church.
Mr. Ware died in Laredo, Texas, on Sept. 15, 2015. He was born in Winona on April 13, 1962, to Jerry and Betty Morgan Ware. He was a truck driver and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Mr. Ware is survived by his wife, Melinda Bennett Ware of Tupelo; daughters, Morgan Ware of Tupelo, Merissa Ware of Clover, South Carolina, and Carley Evans of Winona; sons, Shaune Ware of Clover, South Carolina, and Matt Upp of St. Louis, Missouri; two grandchildren; parents, Jerry and Bet Ware of Winona; sister, Brigette McAlister of DeSoto, Missouri; brothers, Timmy Ware of Houston, Texas, and Tommy Ware of Winona; paternal grandmother, Inez Ware of Winona; mother-in-law, Ouida Bennett of Tupelo; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Zane Ware, Michael Oswalt, Steven Bennett, James Bennett, Mark Sussex and Rodney Pollard. Honorary pallbearers will be John Johnson and Matt Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan Ware Education Fund, c/o Oasis of Love Christian Church, 1195 Kings Highway, Pontotoc, MS 38863; or to the New Hope Cemetery Fund, 504 Jones Street, Winona, MS 38967.
