WARE, TERENCE R. August 14, 1916 – April 11, 2005 One of Corona’s native sons, Terence R. Ware, better known at Terry, passed away peacefully of natural causes in the comfort of his home Monday, April 11, 2005. Terry was born in Corona, CA., where he lived the majority of his life. After serving in the Army during World War II, he met and married his wife Carol, and enjoyed almost 55 years of a wonderful life together. They settled in Corona, and he assumed ownership of the family business, Corona Lumber Company, originally started in 1904 by his great-uncle, and successfully ran the business, along with his business partner, Ross Wall, based on the “service first” approach to doing business. The “lumber yard” was sold in 1984, and Terry began his retirement. While raising his family of four children and running his business, Terry also found time to contribute his time and effort to various charities and organizations through his involvement with the Corona Chamber of Commerce, (President and “Man of the Year”), member and Past Master of the Temescal Masonic Lodge, as well as enjoying long time associations with the Elks Club, the Lions Club, Navy League, and Toastmasters. He also served as a volunteer firefighter during the 50’s and 60’s. Terry and Carol loved spending time with their family and many good friends, taking trips to Las Vegas, golfing, and traveling, frequently by freighter ships, and were fortunate to see much of the world through their desire to explore. Terry was a fixture in the town of Corona, and will be missed by countless people who knew him. He is survived by his four children, Pat of Coeur’d Alene, Sharon of Englewood, Bob of Corona and Andy of Laguna Niguel, along with 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Terry requests that you kindly donate to your favorite charity in lieu of sending flowers. Funeral services will be held on Tues., April 19, 2005 at 11:00am at Thomas Miller Mortuary. Viewing will be prior from 9-11am. Private inurnment will take place at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery. THOMAS MILLER MORTUARY (951) 737-3244
