“He was a plumber by trade, and a gifted craftsman in all fields,” said Ernest Lowe, director of the Wissahickon Boys and Girls Club in West Germantown, where Ware did volunteer work for 15 years.
“He built all the bookcases for our library, built all our benches, put the hot water heater in place,” Lowe said. “He did it all for free. Our club is a memorial to the kindness of Junius Ware.”
Ware is survived by his wife, Margaret; a son, Leonard; five brothers; and a sister.
A memorial service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, 230 W. Coulter St. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, Montgomery County.
