Mary Elizabeth (Ware) Mullins, 98, of rural Butler, Ill., died June 7, 2008, in Hillsboro. A “Celebration of Life” memorial service will be held at Ware’s Grove Lutheran Church in Butler at 11:30 a.m. on June 27. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Mary and her late husband, Alvin L. Mullins, formerly lived in DeKalb County. Mary taught at Shabbona High School from 1932-1936. She is survived by four children, Robert (Joyce, deceased) Mullins of Hillsboro, Ann (Gary, deceased) Tindall of Largo, Fla., Marilyn (Michael) Maccanelli of Butler and A. John Mullins of Elgin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ware’s Grove Lutheran Church or The Ware Family Association. Arrangements are being handled by Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
