Mae (Taylor) Ware passed away April 8, 2016 at her home in Ingomar. She was born on April 25, 1954 to Marjorie (Berry) and Steven Taylor. She went to school at Flat Creek country school in Garfield County from Kindergarten to eighth grade.
Mae attended and graduated from Garfield County High school, where she lived in the dorms during her high school years. While living in the dorms she had many adventures including playing a trick on a young man who was sweet on her by dressing up with a wig and make-up and pretending to be someone else. Mae and her girlfriends never did let the poor young man in on their trick, but boy did they laugh about it for years.
Mae grew up on a ranch and learned to take care of many animals, do the haying, learned to cook, and be a Jill of all trades while growing up. She loved to ride her horses, feed the bum calves, play with the sheep and snuggle with any animal that needed a hug. Mae always thought of helping and taking care of others before herself.
Mae met and married Morris Ware on August 29, 1976 and from this union one daughter, Vicki was born. Mae helped Vicki with all of her 4-H projects, including being there when the Brat decided to shake mid stride with Vicki on his back. Mae just about fell out of her saddle because she was laughing so hard.
Morris and Mae took part in driving teams of horses in parades, taking part in the Custer’s last stand Reenactment, she rode horse for Big Timber Cattle Company (Sun Coulee), Schiffer Ranch, and as a pick-up man for the rodeos for around 10 years, and she ran the cook shack for the Ingomar Rodeo Club. for several years. She also was an editor at the Forsyth Newspaper, waited tables at Rails Inn, spent 20 years of her life working as a CNA, and she was also an Alison’s Pantry distributor, and not being busy enough doing all of her other jobs she ran the mail route out of Sumatra.
Mae is survived by her husband Morris, daughter Vicki, granddaughter Teresea Sage, and her fur babies: Griz, Tayzee, Peanut, JoJo, brother Clay (Karen) Taylor, neices and nephews Valene, Crystal, JC, Chance, Kara, and Jason .
Mae is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
