Reuben Ware Jr., age 92, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 26, 2000 at Isabel Ridgeway Nursing Center. Retired from B&T Metals Co. Attained level of Staff Sergeant and awarded three Bronze Stars for service in WW II. Member of St. Mark’s Lodge 7 for over 50 years. Faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church where he served in various capacities including membership on the Trustee Board, superintendent of the Sunday School, co-chair of the Finance Committee and as a member of the Men’s Chorus. Preceded in death by parents Anna Griffin Ware and Reuben Ware Sr., sister Gladys Ware Hampton and his loving wife of many years Carrie Lewis Ware. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving niece, Edith Bradley-Spiva; nephew, Charles (Delores) Morton; dear friend, Catherine Johnson; and a host of great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service Wednesday 1 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave. Rev. E.A. Parham officiating. Friends may call Wednesday after 11 a.m. at the church, where the family will receive friends 12noon until time of service. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E.
