<p>Ruth Ruanna Manring Ware, age 94, of Wellston, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008, at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born March 25, 1914 in Wellston, the daughter of the late William Warren Manring and Anise Cad Short Manring.</p>
<p>Ruth was retired from Banquet Foods. She was a former Madame President of the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles.</p>
<p>Ruth was an avid gardener and a lover of flowers, animals and children. She dedicated her life to her family and had many lifelong friends.</p>
<p>Ruth is survived by her brother, William Manring of Wellston; adopted daughter, Donna Silcott Cooper of Wellston; adopted son, Mark Silcott, Sr. of Wellston; grandchildren, Lori Silcott Ousley (Mike), Cathy Cooper and Scott Cooper, all of Wellston; nieces, Alice Kreitzer (Jim) of Wellston, Peggy Smith (Kevin) of Chillicothe, Grace Cook of Piketon and Juanita Lockhart of Wellston, as well as many other nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and family.</p>
<p>Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, George “Dutch” Ware; brothers and sisters, Reulah Manring, Sarah Manring Theaumont, Sylvia Manring Martindill, Warren Manring, Lulah Manring Knox, Verna Bell Manring, Edna Manring Claypool and Pauline Manring Mitchell, and her grandson, Mark Silcott, Jr.</p>
<p>Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Benson officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.</p>
