Peter Charles Ware Sr, 82, Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017.

He was born on June 23, 1934 in New York City, New York. Ware served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1989 after 31 years of service.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Harold and Elizabeth Monahan Ware; daughter, Ann Marie Ware; granddaughter, Heather Perez; three sisters, Ann Cullen, Lorraine Hill, and Cathy D’Anton; and two brothers, Charles F. Ware and Ronald James Ware.

Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Rosemary Ware of Lebanon; two daughters, Theresa Lynn Hicks of Madison Tennessee and Robin E. (Sam) Piper of Longwood, Florida; two sons, Thomas P. (June) Ware of Imperial, Pennsylvania and Peter C. Ware Jr. of Harrison, New Jersey; brother, Harold “Buddy” Ware Jr. of Wrightstown, New Jersey; sister, Joy M. Lieberman of Toms Rivers, New Jersey; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with interment in Lebanon National Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Thomas Ware, Bennett Ware, Patrick Ware, Mario Andriulli, Sam Piper, Sean Ziefle, and Nic Andriulli.

Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
