She moved to Middleton at the age of 8 and was a graduate of the former Holten High School in Danvers.
Mrs. Ware had been employed for 28 years as a bus driver in Danvers for the ABC Bus Co. until the time of her retirement. A well-known seamstress on the North Shore, she took sewing classes at the Essex Agricultural and Technical Institute in Danvers.
A longtime resident of the town of Middleton, she was a member of the Mount Burnet Chapter Order of Eastern Star in Danvers. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, with whom she had shared 59 years of marriage, Mrs. Ware is survived by two daughters, Janice Stanton and her husband, Joseph, of Newton, N.H. and Lisa Corso and her husband, James, of Kingston, N.H.; three sons, Leslie Ware and his wife, Linda, of Salem, N.H., Barry Ware and his wife, Arlene, of Newton, N.H. and David Ware of Middleton; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Williams of Windham, N.H. and Anne Brown of Ohio; one brother, Peter Rubchinuk of Newport, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the grandmother of the late Spc. Brian L. Ware.
Her funeral service was held September 12 from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home of Danvers. Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton.
