Martha Jane Ware Obituary, 2016

Martha Jane Ware, 93, of Fairmont, passed away Monday (Aug. 8, 2016) at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.

She was born July 4, 1923, daughter of the late William H. and Nella Dale (Satterfield) Linn.

Martha was active in the Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and the president of the Methodist Minister Wives Association. Martha enjoyed reading and going on her daily walks.

Martha is survived by her four children, David Ware and wife Trudy of Jane Lew, Janice Sundstrom of Freemansburg, Joyce Ware of Mount Lookout and Gayle Jayne and husband Peter of Centreville, Maryland; eight grandchildren, John Warder, Samuel Ware, Tim Harsha, Debbie Birckhead, Kristen Eakle, Katie Staley, Rebecca Jayne and Brian Jayne; and eight great-grandchildren, Georgia Warder, Ava Birckhead, Jack Birckhead, Bobby Eakle, Nathan Eakle, Audrey Staley, Emma Staley and Max Deifel.

In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Dr. Virgil H. Ware; four brothers, Robert, Ralph, Hugh, and Calvin Linn; and four sisters, Evelyn Harris, Ruth Morrison, Doris McDougal and Madeline Stebbins.

Family and friends may call from 1-2:30 p.m. Friday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., Fairmont. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Ken Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Clermont Cemetery in Fairmont.

Lauranna F. Ware Obituary, 2016

Lauranna F. Ware, 64, of Kanawha City, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at home after an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 16, 1951 in Charleston, daughter of the late Edward and Fannie Jackson Ware.

Lauranna retired from the West Virginia Board of Registered Nurses. She was a member of St. Paul AME Church, where she was active with the Girl Scouts. She was a 1968 graduate of Charleston High School.

Lauranna is survived by her two sons, Jeff A. Ware of Cross Lanes and Joe A. Wallace of Charleston; four sisters, Sheila Sims and Carolyn Hairston (Steve), both of Charleston, Deborah Tyson (Richard) of Houston, Texas, and Lisa Lugo (Rafael) of Alexandria, Va.; five brothers, James Ware (Linda) and Steve Ware (Karen), both of Atlanta, Ga., Benny Ware, Richard Ware and Jerry Ware (Amanda), all of Charleston; grandchildren, Jayla Ware and Nathaniel Wallace; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Lauranna’s life will be held at noon Saturday, March 12, at St. Paul AME Church, 1108 2nd Ave., Charleston, with the Rev. John Sylvia officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.

Jessica Mikel Ware Prudlick Obituary, 2016

Jessica Mikel, born in Eunice, La., raised in Neosho, Mo., and resident of Joplin, Mo., passed away July 8th, 2016.

Known by many as Jessi or Mines, Jessica was a caretaker and friend to everyone she met. Mother to daughter Mia (8) and son Colten (4), Jessica gave her all to her children, husband Derek, family, and occupation as a respiratory therapist. Jessica brooked no bullies, had a free spirit, a generous soul, offered her love to all she came across, loved and lived life like no other, and will forever be missed, loved, and remembered by everyone she touched.

As a strong supporter of the Lafayette House, all donations may be made in her name.

Leta Ware Obituary, 2017

Leta Ware, 89, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at her home. Leta was born January 15, 1928 in Lawton County, Kansas to Charles Bishop and Maude “Brown” Bishop.

She was a Carthage High School graduate and lifetime resident of Carthage. She worked at Big Smith Manufacturing and Fair Acres Nursing Home and was a devoted member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Carthage.

Leta was united in marriage to Morris Ware on December 20, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas; he preceded her in death on January 22, 1972.

Leta is survived by one daughter Evelyn Ware of the home, one son Charles Ware of Lakeland, Florida, one brother Orval Bishop and wife Rhudell of Carthage, four grandchildren: Tina Walker, Carrie Hobbs, Amy Jones and David Jones, and nine great grandchildren: ToriWalker, Ardrea Walker, Brian Walker, Elissa Smith, Mariah Manka, Codie Palmer, Katelyn Palmer, Gage Jones, and Laura Jones, and three great grandchildren: Ayden Walker, Brooklyn Yardley, and Bentley Walker.

Leta was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter Joyce Maggard, one brother Chalmer Bishop and one sister Ruth Prime.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.

Lewis Dean Ware

Lewis Dean Ware of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on April 22, 1962 in Festus, Missouri and departed this life on April 16, 2017 at the Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of fifty-four years, eleven months and twenty-five days.

Dean was united in marriage to Delores Culp on July 5, 1996 at the Springtown Baptist Church and shared nearly twenty-one years together.

Dean is survived by his wife, Delores Ware of Mineral Point, Missouri; sons, Garrett Taylor McGlynn of Missouri; David Boyet Jr. of Mineral Point, Missouri; Gage Michael Boyet of Mineral Point, Missouri; stepson, Mark Brown Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Potosi, Missouri; his mother, Mary Jane (White) Grimm and husband, Ed of Imperial, Missouri; brothers, Robert D. Ware and wife, Cindy; Eddie Grimm; sister, Sarah Briggs and husband, David; three grandchildren; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Dean was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Martin Ware, daughter, Angel Boyet, maternal grandmother, Levada White, paternal grandmother, Edith Ware, father-in-law, James Culp Sr.

Dean enjoyed spending time outdoors going four wheeling and hunting with Troy Harmon and Lennes Drennen. He worked for Fred Weber for many years and always looked forward to going to work. Spending time with his two brothers-in-law, James Culp Jr. and Louis Culp, who he loved like his own brothers and his sister-in-law who he fought with constantly. Dean loved to be with his family and friends especially his kids and grandchildren who he loved with all his heart. He will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial Visitation was held Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Memorial Service was held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Brother Kenny Gamble officiating.

Kenneth R. Ware, of Saint Peters, MO, died on Sunday April 16, 2017, at the age of 88. Loving husband of the late Frances K. Ware; Beloved son of the late Enoch M. and Lillian Ware; devoted father of Kenneth T. (Sally) Ware, Martin Ware, Brad Ware, and Christopher L. Ware; cherished grandfather of Heather (Jason) Cook, Hillary (Ben) Zeller, Jennifer (Ben) Davis, Brady (Brian) Nelson, and Brett Ware; treasured great-grandfather Emma, Anna, and Mallory Cook, Kathleen and Chase Zeller, Shelby Bordelon, and Grant Davis; dear brother of Mona Crawford; He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Todd Ware and brother, Ferrell E. Ware. Kenneth was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Kenneth L. Ware, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Kenneth was born the son of Johnson and Donna (McClure) Ware on October 27, 1928, in Lock Springs, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Lavaun Marie Whitworth on May 1, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2014. He worked as a truck driver for Churchill Truck Lines for many years. Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local 41, the Chillicothe Friendship Masonic Lodge #89 AF & AM, the Chillicothe Shrine Club, and the Moila Temple of St. Joseph.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet Churchill and husband Cliff of Lawrence, Kansas; one stepson, Steve Duncan and wife Mary of Pittsburg, Kansas; four grandchildren, Michel Dungan of Pittsburg, Kansas, Michael Duncan of Smithville, Missouri, Brant Duncan of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Amy Anderson of Ludlow, Missouri; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Doris Jean Mc-Cloud of Grand Junction, Colorado; and one sister-in-law, Virginia McCollem of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lavaun; two brothers, Wendall and Mack Ware; and great grandson, Charles Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
