Roger Lee Ware, 59 of Higbee passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Perryville, MO. Roger was born May 17, 1958 to Vernon and Norma Thompson Ware in Moberly, MO. On June 10, 1978, Roger married his sweetheart Susan Perkins and together they raised 4 daughters who were his pride and joy.

Roger was very dedicated to his family. He loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren and never missed any event in which they were involved. Roger was an Eagle Scout and rose to the level of Scout Master. He was a 1977 graduate of Higbee High School and attended Missouri Auction School. He was a devoted volunteer firefighter and proudly served on the Higbee Area Volunteer Fire Department for 38 years and the Higbee R-8 School Board for 10 years. He loved hunting, trout fishing and anything involving family. He was a member of the Higbee Masonic Lodge. Roger was also a skilled welder who enjoyed teaching others his trade. He was always a big-hearted person and because of his donation with the help of Mid America Transplant he will be changing the lives of others and his generosity continues to live on.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Susan; 4 daughters and sons- in-law, Julie (Brian) Dougherty of Higbee, Ashley (Jimmy) McAlpin of Higbee, Tiffany (Willie) White of Moberly and Amber (Clifton) Stockhorst of Higbee; 15 grandchildren, Hunter, Lexi, Ericka, Colby, Alie, Gracie, Justin, Shori, Austin, Darren, Addie, Madi, Cianna, Talon and Raylee; his brother Kent (Natalie) Ware and Tinker of Higbee; aunt, Charlene Redifer of Ottawa, KS; in-laws, Jody and Louise Perkins of Higbee; brother in-law Mike (Kathy) Perkins of Higbee; sister in-law, Anna Mae (Ken) Robinson of Columbia; beloved dog, Bear; nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

A funeral service celebrating Roger’s life will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sharon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Masonic service beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles W. Ware Obituary, 2016

Charles “Andy” W. Ware, age 69, of Versailles, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. Survivors include: his wife, Emma, of the home; his sons, Charles Ware of Sacramento, Calif. and Shaun Ware of Versailles; four step-daughters and two step-sons; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 12 Noon, Saturday, June 4, at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Versailles Cemetery. Martha Ann Ware Obituary, 2017

Martha Ann Ware, 98, formerly of Fulton, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas. Martha was born January 22, 1919 in Audrain County, Missouri to Paul and Ida Williams Hammett, who preceded her in death. She was married on August 29, 1940 in Mexico, Missouri to James H. Ware and he preceded her in death in 2009. Martha was a homemaker her entire life and her greatest love was raising her children and spending time with her family. She is survived by children: Barbara (Kenneth) Diehl of McAllen, Texas, Sue (Kenneth) Martin of San Antonio, Texas and Jack Ware of McAllen, Texas; sister, Carol Hopkins of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Amy (Nathan) Bailey of Dallas, Texas, Mike (Anna) Martin of College Station, Texas, Julie Diehl of McAllen, Texas, Jeanie (Jeff) Stokes of Boerne, Texas, Sarah (Shannon) Sparks of Fulton, Missouri and Chuck (Krystal) Ware of Dripping Springs, Texas; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild who was born on January 25, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017

Christopher Michael Ware Obituary, 2017

Christopher Michael Ware, 46, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Richland, MO, passed away on December 21, 2017 after a long battle with liver disease.

He is survived by his daughter Taryn Law of Crestline, CA, his parents, Beverly (David) Warren, Mike (Denise) Ware of Sparks, NV, Stepfather, Jay Powers of Richland, MO, brothers, Kevin (Mandy) Ware of Crocker, MO, Dan Ware of London England, three stepchildren, Cassie (David) McCray, Will (Mindy) ODell, and Charles Bellamy, five step grandchildren, all of West Virginia, several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer, his Uncle Rob and all of his Grandparents.

Chris was born in Savannah, GA on August 14, 1971 and lived his early life in Ridge-crest, CA, Ft. Bragg, NC, Ft Rucker, AL, Ft Leonard Wood, MO, and finally Richland, MO when he was 9. He graduated from Richland High School in 1989 and then moved to Sparks/Reno, NV area for several years. He then moved to Huntington, WV where he worked and lived until his death.

When a Chris was in High School he had a big interest in art and writing and wrote many beautiful poems and stories expressing his feelings. He worked at the then Richland Mirror at one time. Chris loved to cook and worked at many upscale restaurants. His dream was to go to Chefs School to become a Chef. He loved his dogs and cats and grandkids and the Pittsburg Steelers!

Chris was a big guy with a big heart and would help anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Helen Nadine Ware, 87, of Versailles, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 in Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles. Survivors include two sons, Michael R. Ware of Lawson and Patrick L. Ware of Versailles; two daughters-in-law, Donna K. Ware of Versailles and Jeri Ware of Garden City; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Ruth Russell of Kansas City. Charles Edward Ware Obituary, 2017

Charles E. Ware, 85, Shawnee, passed away June 25, 2017. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia Street, Lenexa, KS, followed by a committal service at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wayside Waifs. Charles was born Feb. 28, 1932, the son of Isaac and Mabel Ware, in St. Joseph, MO. He graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State with a Bachelor’;s degree in Business Administration. He married Caroline Schmitz. Charles’; family moved to Kansas City area in 1966, and he began working for Social Security Administration as a claim authorizer, retiring in 1992. He is preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Carter and husband, Glenn. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Caroline; son, Stephen Ware and wife Judy; and daughter, Angela Ware. Robert G. Ware Obituary, 2016

Robert G. Ware, age 75, of Marionville, Mo died on Sunday, July 31, 2016, at mercy Hospital Aurora in aurora, MO. Mr. Ware was born in Joplin, Mo on Thursday, August 15, 1940. He was the son of Oliver and Mary (Goodwin) ware. Mr. Ware was a principal at the Aurora school system for many years. He served his country severing in the U.S. Army. Mr. Ware married Charle Burnett Kerans on Thursday, May 24, 2001 in Aurora, Mo and she survives.

Also surviving are the following: his two children, Chris Ware and wife, Misty, of Kansas City, MO and Belinda Saaf and Husband, Tomas, of Aurora, MO; two sisters Betty Cagle and Husband, Warren, of Neosho, MO and Martha Dunnam and husband, Gary, of Grove OK; two grandchildren, Zoe and Mya Ware; and one nephew, Scott Cagle and wife, Laurel, of Neosho, MO.

Graveside service was held at Maplewood Cemetery in Exter, MO on Saturday, August 6, 2016 with Rev. Wade Rodgers and judge Jack Goodman officiating. Burial followed at Maplewood Cemetery in Exter, MO.

Corene Marie Ware

Corene Marie Ware 91, of Pilot Grove, Missouri passed away at Cooper County Memorial Hospital on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018.

She had been a resident of Ashley Manor for several years, where she was loved and cherished by everyone.

She was born on August 11,1926 in Pilot Grove to Leonard Joseph and Lorene Meyer Kempf, and graduated Pilot Grove High School in 1944.

She married CCC Camp sweetheart Roy D.(Pat) Ware of Long Lane, Missouri on May 30, 1944.

Corene and Pat spent the first six years of married life as ranch hands in western Nebraska, she as ranch cook and he as a “real cowboy”. There was a two year break during this period to serve in the U.S Marines during WW II, mostly in California. They returned to Pilot Grove in 1950, but moved to Odessa, Missouri in 1952 to raise their family, and own and operate their business, Ware Hardware Co. Their next 25 years were spent in Brookfield, Missouri where she worked at Stanbury Uniform, participated in the Starns School Social Circle, supported their lives as a farm wife, and were wonderful grandparents to seven grandchildren, and various additional friends.

She lost her beloved Pat in 1997, but continued on the farm until moving back to Pilot Grove in 2001, to complete the circle by spending time with her Kempf Families, various childhood friends, her St Joseph’s family and greatly enlarging her circle by joining “The Red Hatters”, in addition to always loving and caring for her “new home.” She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant siblings, Mary Elizabeth and Robert Ray Kempf; sister Delores Stoeckein(Eddie); brother Virgil(Boogie) Kempf, son Robert Dean Ware; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Shorty Bob and Rusty.

Corene is survived by her sister Erma Williams of Odessa Mo; daughters Patty Dorsey of Boonville and Kathy Bayless (David) of Warsaw; son Richard Ware (Ruth Cox) of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandsons Randy Polson (Angie), Osceola Mo., Mike Bayless of Clinton Mo., Todd Ware (Kristi) of Higginsville, Mo., Tim Ware (Melissa) of Redgranite Wis., Bodie Ware (Laura) of Payson Ariz., and granddaughter Misty Ware of Phoenix Ariz.; 13 great-grandchildren Amber, Ashton, Jarett, Elaina, Nate, Sam, Isaac, Jesse, Jovi, Jade, Ethan, Jessica and Jeremy; great-great-grandchildren Leyla, Reygan, Marlena, Tristan, Parker and Logan. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all beloved.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at St.

Joseph’s Catholic Church, Pilot Grove Missouri. Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. followed by visitation from 10 til 11. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetary after the church services.

Curtis Weldon Ware
Curtis Weldon Ware, owner of Billy’s Pilot Cars in Lordsburg, New Mexico, died in his Lordsburg home January 20, 2017 of natural causes. He was 73. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Hatfield of Rogers, Arkansas; son Curtis Weldon Ware II of Cassville, Missouri; sister Marjorie Janet Ware Wollard of Hardin, Missouri; brother J.C. Ware III and sister-in-law Julia Ware of Maryville, Missouri; sister Phyllis Ware Dannar and brother-in-law Curtis Dannar of Oregon, Missouri; grandchildren Chelsea Elizabeth Ware, Chaylea Grace Ware, Kobhe Easton Ware and Greycynn Kennadi Ware; and fiancée AnnaLee Heemsbergen of Lordsburg.

Ware was born March 25, 1943 at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, Missouri to James C. Ware II and Marjorie C. Hackett Ware. He spent his childhood on the family’s farm in Nodaway County, Missouri, located between the towns of Maryville and Pickering. He graduated from North Nodaway High School in nearby Hopkins. After graduation, he attended college at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville while working at LMP Steel. Ware moved to Chicago to work at Transworld Production, then returned to Nodaway County to farm. While there, he also ran a coffee shop and convenience store in Pickering and sold snowmobiles as well. Next, he became a distributor for Spray Right and subsequently moved to Helena, Arkansas, to work in their sales department. He then relocated to Tucson, Arizona, where he established B&C Mobile Homes Transport. Then, in 2008, he moved to Lordsburg where he bought and ran Billy’s Pilot Cars.

He attended First Baptist Church in Lordsburg. He loved his family and his work family. Ware was a collector of antique Farmall tractors and enjoyed restoring them. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 25 at Lordsburg First Baptist Church presided by Pastor Will Lakey and the deceased’s son, Curtis Ware II.

Burial and graveside services for family only will be held at Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction, Missouri, at a later date.
