Russell Clay Ware, age 84, widower of Mary Lois Flinchum Ware of Hidden Valley Road, Clay City, KY passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at his residence. Born in Mt. Sterling, KY, he was the son of the late Boone C. Ware and Ruth Bunner Ware and his late stepmother, Emma Dee Ware. Russell Clay Ware was a U S Army veteran, a retired welder with the Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot and he was a faithful member of West Bend First Church of God. He is survived by one son, Ricky (Dianna) Ware of Winchester; two daughters, Teresa F. Ware of Clay City and Linda (Jimmy) Bentley of Cherokee, AL; one sister, Thelma Louise Ham of Kettering, OH; one sister-in-law, Shirley Morguson of Winchester; five grandchildren, Rebecca Lucas, Shane Ware, Surbrina Bentley, Chasity Ware and Crystal Meadows along with five great grandchildren. Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Thursday at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Funeral services officiated by Bro. James Harold Combs and Bro. Ray Watson will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 7, 2017 at West Bend First Church of God, 8861 Winchester Road, Clay City, KY. Visitation begins at the church at 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral. Burial with military honors will be in West Bend Cemetery with Shane Ware, Robbie Richardson, Joe Bentley, Sheldon Meadows, Johnny Pergram and Jackie Oakley serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan King, members of West Bend First Church of God, Joe and Roberta Edwards, Johnny Edwards and Hospice East. Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.

Survivors include, Sons, Henry and wife, Connie Ware, Stanton and Eddie and wife, Anna Ware, Clay City; Daughters, Barbara Sue and husband, Virgil Faulkner, Clay City and Anna Mae Wiseman, Clay City; Grandchildren, Lee J. Faulkner, Nancy Mann, Jr Ware, Heather Clark, Anthony Ware, Paul Howard, Jeffrey Howard, Cathy Tipton, Janie Dennis, Ryan Nolan, and Cody Nolan and 14 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, David Ware. Arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Jim Edward Ware Obituary, 2016

Jim Edward Ware, 50, of Madisonville passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at his home.

He was born July 23, 1966, in Batesville, Mississippi to Robbie Clayton and the late Walter Edward Ware.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Kenneth Ray Clayton; and his stepdaughter, Rosemary Baker.

Survivors include his mother, Robbie Clayton of Madisonville; sisters, Kathy Girvin and Malena Partee, both of Madisonville, Karla Kemmett and husband Eugene of Cardwell, Missouri and Kenya Long and husband Gary of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and nieces and nephews, Scott, Keri, Cory, Brandon, Carleigh and Kaylee.

The funeral service is 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Jared Leet officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers are Cory Partee, Brandon Partee, Scott Partee, Eric Travis, Carl Clayton and Kyle Gipson.

Susan Davenport Ware Obituary, 2017

WARE Susan Davenport, 79, wife of Ray Miller Ware, passed peacefully Saturday, February 18, 2017. She was born June 27, 1937, in West Lafayette, IN, to the late Oscar Malcomb and Sarah Elkins Davenport. She was a CPA for many years. She was an Episcopalian and also attended Crestwood Christian Church. Susan liked to cook, bake, quilt, garden, and read. Additional family survivors include a sister, Martha (Dickie) Mayland; a brother, Peter Malcomb Davenport; and other family members. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Douglas Ware. Service will be 2pm Tuesday at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Rev. Kory Wilcoxson officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1pm Tuesday until time of service. Samuel H. Ware Obituary, 2016

WARE Samuel, 79, husband of Carolyn Collier Ware, died peacefully on October 18 surrounded by his family. Born on April 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Lewis and Mary Louise Ware. He graduated from Christ School in Asheville, NC and Transylvania University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order, Lampas and president of the Interfraternity Council in his sophomore year. He worked for Ashland, Inc. for more than thirty years. He was one of the good guys, a true southern gentleman who never met a stranger. In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his children, Susan Ware, Mary Blanton Ware and Stephen Ware and his granddogs Jessie and Maggie, all of Lexington. Services will be at 2:30 on Saturday, October 22 at Christ Church Cathedral, 166 Market Street, Lexington with Interment and Reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Transylvania University (300 North Broadway, Lexington, KY), Christ School (500 Christ School Road, Arden, NC 28704), Hospice of the Bluegrass (2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504) or Christ Church Cathedral (166 Market St., Lexington, KY 40507).

Ricky Lee Ware, 63 of Shelbyville died Tuesday April 4, 2017 in Frankfort.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Ramona “Faye” Ware, of Lawrenceburg; his children; Chris Ware of Harrodsburg, and Ashley Ware of Lawrenceburg; sisters, June Gilbert, and Lois Ware both of Shelbyville, and Donna Garland of Romulus, Michigan,

Funeral services were Friday April 7, 2017 at Shannon Funeral Home.Rev. Jodie Stamper officiated. Burial followed.

Mary Katherine Ingram Ware Obituary, 2016

 

A Taylorsville resident, Mrs. Mary Katherine Ware, age 90, passed away December 7, 2017, at her residence. She was born April 5, 1927, in Spencer County to the late Milton Jackson and Nora Ethel Bowen Ingram. Mrs. Ware was a homemaker, member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Spencer County Homemakers Club and the Paint and Pallet Club.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ware; and brothers, Charles Ingram, Belwood Ingram and Tom Ingram.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Gerald) Loafman of Bowling Green and Arlene (Jack) Lyons of Taylorsville; son, Scott (Rose) Ware of Mt. Eden; sisters, Jean Morris of Taylorsville, Bessie Mae Carriss of Shelbyville, and Lillian Searcy of Louisville; brothers, Phillip (Elaine) Ingram and Don Ingram, both of Taylorsville; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Katherine Ware were held at 12 noon, Monday, December 11, 2017, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Bro. Tom Conway officiated. Interment was in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.

Visitation was Sunday from 2 – 8 p.m. The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
