Jean Ware Brooks
JEAN BROOKS (nee Ware), 92, of Solon, OH., passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013. Beloved wife of Edgar (deceased 1980) and a graduate of Berea High School and Baldwin-Wallace College, Jean was a devoted housewife and mother, business woman, volunteer and avid chorister. Jean worked at the Rocky River Library for many years before moving to California where she and Edgar purchased a Rug Crafters franchise, operating stores in Stockton, California, then in Dayton and Cleveland after their return to Ohio. She was later employed by Otis Elevator following a second move to California. Over the years Jean held leadership roles in various volunteer organizations, such as the Solon Friends of the Library, the League of Women Voters and Baldwin-Wallace College. She sang with the Chagrin Valley Choral Union and a number of church choirs including those at the Burlingame Methodist Church in California and the Solon Methodist Church in Ohio. Jean is survived by her four loving children: Virginia L. Brooks, California; Thomas R. Brooks (wife Jane), New Jersey; Robert C. Brooks (wife Linda), Indiana; and Claudia B. Monnett (husband Jim), Ohio, as well as six grandchildren (one deceased), ten great-grandchildren, and six nieces and nephews and their families. She was recently predeceased by her brother, Robert Ware and his wife, Regina. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, August 31 at 2:00 P.M. at the Brecksville Methodist Church, 65 Public Square, Brecksville, OH with a reception following the service in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the “Jean Ware Brooks Scholarship” Fund at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. Virginia C. Sipple Ware Obituary, 2014

TIPP CITY — Virginia C. Sipple Ware, 104, formerly of Tipp City, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, at Springmeade Health Care Center. She was born June 13, 1909, in Dayton, to the late Richard and Sarah (Furthmiller) Common. She married Ralph Sipple; he preceded her in death. She then married George Ware; he also preceded her in death. Mrs. Ware is survived by two nieces, Marcia (Richard) Zechar of Troy and Karen (Don) Cummins of West Milton. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Glenna Bussdicker and Catherine Shanley; and two brothers, Richard and Robert Common. Virginia retired as a supervisor from AT&T and enjoyed traveling and playing bridge. Private graveside services will be conducted at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. Selma Grogg Ware Obituary, 2015

 

GENEVA — Selma Ware (Betty), age 82, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away at home Monday, July 27, 2015.

She was born May 19, 1933, the daughter of Flora (neé: Sheets) and Forrest Grogg. She married Robert N. Ware in Louisburg, W.Va., on July 31, 1954.

Betty was a 1951 graduate of Greenbank, W.Va., High School and a graduate of C&O Hospital Nursing School. She was a member of Peoples Church. Betty enjoyed traveling, quilting and gardening.

She is survived by a son, Gregory (Corinne) Ware of Austinburg; daughter, Dennise (Randy) Cook of Austinburg; brothers, Ray Grogg of Sarasota, Fla., and Donald Grogg of Arbovale, W.Va.; and sister, Ruth Ann Mullenax of Arbovale, W.Va.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sons, Scott and Jeffrey N.; brothers, Guy, Emil, Merle, Forrest, Marvin David and Jimmy Grogg; and sisters, Martha Foster, Dorotha Shader and Carrie Grogg.

Friends will be received 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 30th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 31st. Pastor Alexander Zell, of Peoples Church, will be officiating. Final resting place will be Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville.

Donna Mae Ware Obituary
Donna Mae Ware, 90, passed away on January 8, 2017 in Elkins, West Virginia.

Donna was born on March 16, 1926 in Montrose, West Virginia to the late Raymond and Eva Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Ware; brother, Donald Taylor; and sisters, Evelyn Murphy and Mary Williams. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Thelma Phillips of Virginia; many nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Randall (Sheila) Ware.

Tommy Joe Ware Obituary, 1985

MARSHALLVILLE — Tommy Joe Ware, 36, of Westview Rd., Marshallville, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 27.

Mr. Ware was a self-employed carpenter, a VietNam Army veteran, member and Sergeant of Arms at the Marshallville American Legion, a member of Marshallville Fire Dept. and E.M.T., and was a Village Zoning Inspector.

He is survived by wife, Darlene; two sons, Jeremy and Jason, at home; mother, Roxie Ware of Marshallville; two brothers, Jimmy Ware of St. Louis, Mo., and Roger Ware of Akron; and sister, Mrs. Sandra Bennett of Marshallville.

Services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Monbarren Funeral Home, Doylestown, Rev. Charles Bancroft officiating. Interment Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Marshallville Firemen’s Fund, c/o Great Northern Savings Co., 25 S. Lena Marie Teubert Ware Obituary, 1993

TALLMADGE — Lena Marie Teubert Ware, 82, died Oct. 31, 1993.

Mrs. Ware retired in 1969 after 27 years service at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. She was born in Gauley Bridge, W. Va., and was a longtime resident of the Akron-Tallmadge area. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge and was active for many years in the life of the church, both at First Congregational Church in Tallmadge and the United Methodist Church in Tarpon Springs, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Russell Ware, and son-in-law, Ronald W. Jackson. She is survived by daughter, Patricia W. Jackson of Tallmadge; son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Jeanette Ware of Alabama; grandchildren, Dr. David and Sue Jackson, Jeff and Captain Teresa Reed, Richard and Karen Kilway, Mark and Diane Jackson, James and Tina Jackson, William R. Ware Jr. and Katherine Campbell; 11 great-grandchildren sister, Emma Sizemore; and brother, Edward Teubert, both of West Virginia.

Memorial service at 4 p.m. WednesDAY, at the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, with Rev. C. Edward Carter officiating. Friends will be received immediately following the service. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Hospice Program, the First Congregational

Church of Tallmadge, or to a favorite charity.
