WEST POINT — Georgia Ware Brown, 93, formerly of Montrose, homemaker, died Thursday of cardiac arrest at West Point Nursing Home. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Lottville Church of God Cemetery near Canton. Calvert Funeral Home has charge. She was a Methodist. Mrs. Brown, the widow of Spurgeon Riley Brown, leaves a daughter, Edith B. Tribble of West Point; three sons, James H. Brown of Houston, Texas, George F. Brown of Austin, Texas, and Joseph M. Brown of Ames, Iowa, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

JACKSON – Nelle Ware Dietzel, 83, former bookkeeper with Jackson Utility Co., died Thursday morning of heart failure at her home. She leaves eight daughters, Gladys Ellis, Nettie Jean Ellis and Myrtle Shaw, all of Pope, Margaret Cosby of Enid, Rosie Hamilton of Chicago, Emma Hentz of Sardis, Bertha Bobo of Courtland and Helen Ellis of Detroit; four sons, Herman ‘Sonny’ Ellis and Lamar ‘Bill’ Ellis, both of Pope, Preston Ellis of Harvey, Ill., and Earl Ellis of Detroit; four sisters, Louise Clark of Pope, Lelia Strung of Courtland, and Janie Johnson and Ester Betts, both of Batesville; a brother, Gavin Johnson of Memphis, 36 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bobbitt, the widow of Wilbur Eugene Bobbitt, leaves two sons, Wilbur F. ‘Bunk’ Bobbitt of Macon and Charles Dempsey Bobbitt of Oakland, Tenn., 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
