William A. Ware

William A. “Billy” Ware, age 45, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to David Harold and Ramona (Robertson) Ware on June 12, 1972. Billy was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to many, and will be greatly missed. Left to carry on his legacy and cherish his memory is his wife of 21 years, Rebecca Ware; son William “Braden” Ware, 14; daughter Macy Ruth Ware, 11; son Lucas Jackson Ware, 8; his parents Harold and Ramona Ware; brother David Ware; sister Ginny Avants and her husband Dick, along with numerous extended family and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Billy’s life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church, 1615 W. Airport Freeway in Irving.
Billy graduated from Putnam City North HS in Oklahoma City in 1990. He then continued his education at Oklahoma State University where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, and graduated in 1996 with a degree in Architecture and a second degree in Architectural Engineering. Billy worked for several years as an architect for Dallas based firms before pursuing his professional dream by starting his own architecture company in 2002. Billy loved to help fully manifest the dreams of his architecture clients. It is fitting that his ashes will be placed in the columbarium he designed for Plymouth Park United Methodist Church, which received a Dallas AIA Small Projects Award. Ware Architecture received several design and LEED consulting awards over the course of it years.
Throughout his life, Billy has been engaged in ministry with a special place in his heart for teens. He volunteered with Young Life after having been changed by his own experience with the organization while in high school, desiring to grow others in the love of Jesus Christ. He continued his ministry at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church as a youth leader touching the lives of many other teens and in other service positions. Billy’s relationship with God was knitted throughout every aspect of his life, including bible studies both in the church and in professional groups.
Billy was also an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time at “the land” owned by his family in Oklahoma. There he would camp and hunt. Billy shared this love with his children and others through Boy Scouts. He felt strongly about the life lessons and personal development that can be learned from involvement in that organization. He enjoyed his time deer hunting and scouting with son Braden, as a coach for his daughter Macy’s soccer team, and building Legos and reading to son Lucas. He leaves a legacy as a strong Christian example as head of the family and the consistent determination never, ever to give up.
