Thomas Warr / Ware /Weare

Coldham, 1607/60

10 Oct., 1655, Thomas Warr of Upton Bishop, Herf., smith, bound to Robert Pitt, merchant, to serve 6 years in Virginia
Tepper shows the same comming from Bristol records, indicating the point of departure.

AS A SIDE NOTE, I ALSO FOUND THOMAS WARR & THOMAS WARR JR. ON THE 1717 CHOWAN TAX LIST… THOMAS WARR WAS THE SON OF THE THOMAS WARE WHO LIVED INSURRY COUNTY AND WAS BANISHED ABOUT 1676 FOR SEVEN YEARS, FOR HIS INVOLMENT IN BACONS REBELLION.

IN ADDITION, I CAME ACROSS INFORMATION ON A THOMAS WEARE WHO ALONG WITH WILLIAM COX WAS USED AS A HEADRIGHT BY JOHN COX IN 1737. I BELIEVE THE DEED WAS RECORDED IN ISLE OF WIGHT, VA. WILLIAM COX IS LIKELY THE WILLIAM COXE WHO WAS WITH PETER WARE IN YORK COUNTY, AND WHO LATER REMOVED TO HENRICO COUNTY (ARROWHADDOCKS). THOMAS WEARE IS LIKELY THE SON OF THOMAS WARE OF SURRY COUNTY WHO WAS BANNED c1676.
