Kathryn J. Morgan Ware Obituary, 2000

“Kathryn J. Ware, age 86, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away at 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2000, at her residence.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Father Herman J. Niebrugge officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Schilling Funeral Home with Biblical Wake service at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Ware was born in Mattoon, on November 27, 1913, a daughter of Peter and Mary Loretta Welch Morgan. She married Charles B. Ware on February 20, 1943.

Survivors include husband, Charles B. Ware of Mattoon; two daughters, Paula Winchester and husband David of Mattoon and Ann Easton and husband Robert of Collierville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jeff Winchester and wife Tina of Windsor, Greg Winchester and wife Kim of Mattoon, Aaron Easton of Memphis, Tenn., Shelley Easton of Knoxville, Tenn.; five great-grandchildren, Dustin Rogers, Kyle Winchester, both of Mattoon, and Jennifer, Jessica, and Melissa Winchester, all of Windsor.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and one great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Ware was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. She was a former member of the Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital Guild. Kathryn loved to play bridge and belonged to several bridge clubs. Memorials may be made to the Lincolnland Hospice or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.”
