He was a Pacific Ocean veteran of World War II and a veteran of the Korean conflict. The Ware family moved to Rhea County in 1973. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Catherine Victoria (Riker) Ware; son, John Jacob Ware; father and mother, Dr. John Christie and Annie Elizabeth (Ackerman) Ware; and sisters, Florence Cynthia Ware, Elizabeth Louise Markley and Dorothy Margery Ware.
Pop will be missed by his sons, William J. and wife, Alice R Ware, of Spring City, and Robert M. and wife, Martha K. Ware of Purcellville, Va.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; members of the Warm Farms and larger communities.

Coulter Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton was in charge of the arrangements.
