VANCEBORO Ms. Laura Bebber Ware, 60, of Vanceboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport, NC. Laura was born January 11, 1958, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Harold Johnson Bebber and Kay Williams Bebber. Laura was born in Alexander County but grew up in Reidsville, NC, where in high school she participated and enjoyed cheerleading, drama and theater. She was also a member of her high school homecoming court and a Morehead Scholar Nominee. After high school, she attended UNC-G. While in Vanceboro, she worked as a domestic housekeeper and in the farming industry. She loved animals and especially cats and was a fearless rescue volunteer in Carteret County. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, Gregory Paul Bebber and Van Dorn Bebber, II. Those left to cherish and honor her memory include: two sisters, Sherri Bebber and husband, Charlie, of Hilton Head Island, SC, Amy Bebber Smith and fiance, Skip Meszaros; a brother, William Neal Bebber and wife, Yvonne, of Landrum, SC. A private graveside service was conducted at Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, NC. Memorials may be made to: Carteret Humane Society, 853 Hibbs Road, Newport, NC 28570.
