"Rosie Barnes, 97, of 6064 Greensboro Road died Saturday, April 25,
   1998.
      A native of Taliaferro County, Mrs. Barnes was a daughter of
   the late William and Mary Ware and was the widow of Robert Barnes.
   She was a homemaker and a member of Greater Level Hill Baptist 
   Church, Crawfordville.
      Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Greater 
   Level Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. R.J. Johnson officiating. 
   Burial will be in New Salem Church Cemetery.
      Survivors include a son, James W. Barnes, Washington; and 
   five grandchildren.
      Davenport-McLendon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements."
