James M. Ware

"Marion, Twiggs county, 7th June 1845.
     Agreeable to a previous notice, a portion 
of the Whig party convened this day, for the 
purpose of nominating suitable Delegates to meet
the Bibb delegation, and nominate a candidate to 
represent the District composed of the counties 
of Bibb and Twiggs, in the next State Senate, 
and also to appoint delegates to the Convention 
at Milledgeville, on the 1st Monday in July next 
for the purpose of nominating a candidate for 
Governor.
     On motionof Dr. Dupree, Robt. Raiford, Esq. 
was called to the Chair, and J J Boynton was 
requested to act as Secretary.
     On motion, it was, 
     Resolved, That three Delegates from each 
District in the county be appointed to meet the 
Bibb delegation for the purpose of nominating a 
candidate for the Senate, the following named 
individuals were then appointed.

    Resolved, That we now adjourn sine die, 
                             ROBERT RADFORD, Chairman, 
 J J Boynton, Secretary."
