“Martinsburg Increases
Purifying Capacity
Western Gas Construction Co. Has Contract for Steel Purifiers
Martinsburg, W. Va., March 1.—The extra heavy demand for service from the Martinsburg Heat & Light Co., has necessitated a considerable increase in the purification capacity of its plant. This will be accomplished by the installation of two new steel boxes, ten feet in diameter by thirteen feet in depth, operating through the well known “Western” duplex reversing valve. The crown doors will be especially large, giving excellent ventilation when the purifying material is being changed; they were designed by Manager Leon H. Ware, who is a deep student of purification problems. The boxes are being fabricated by the Western Gas Construction Co., of Fort Wayne, Indiana.”
