Sodus.
Sodus is formed of township 110, range 41, and is in the south-eastern part of the county. The first settler was Henry Cuyle, who came in the spring of 1871. Matthew Steele, Elizer Hall, Nathan Ware and William Bolander, were among the first settlers. The town was designated as Martin, October 9, 1876, and the first town meeting held October 27.
