“Last Monday evening between eight and nine o’clock Mrs. John Ware, of Leona, was taken suddenly ill with heart trouble, and although help was summond and every restorative used, nothing availed and in less than twenty minutes after she was taken sick, life was extinct. Mrs. Ware had been a sufferer from this trouble for a number of years, and last spring, with her husband, moved from this place to Leona, that she might be near her daughter, Mrs. Leonhard. She was an old and well loved resident of this community, and the news of her death will cause sincere sorrow to her old neighbors and friends. Funeral services were held at Leona, Rev. Sawyer officiating, and the remains were taken to Wolf River cemetery for interment.”
