William H. Ware, a former Ionia high school athlete, local
newspaper writer and advertising man, is dead at his home
in Brooklyn, according to word received by relatives. He
was a nephew of Royal A. Hawley and Mrs. E. A. Murphy.
After graduation he worked on the Ionia Standard for a year
and then became advertising man for the T. A. Carten store.
He then went to Detroit and entered the advertising department
of the Regal Motor company, later being connected with
Crowley-Milner Co., as assistant ad writer, accepting a
similar position in New York a few years ago. No funeral
announcements have been made."
