“Zenas Ware, whose ancestors came to Winchester from Franklin, Mass., moved to the Marcus Billiard place in the southwest part of the town in 1796, where, he remained till his death. His son Dea. Jonathan D.; remained on the same place, as a farmer till 1848, when re removed to the Col. Elisha Whitcomb farm, where his son Alonzo A., now resided. Joel, the youngest of Zenas, was a prominent school teacher in town in his early years, after which he was a farmer in New York, and later in Illinois.”
