Lee Vann Ware Obituary, 2012

“Lee Vann Ware, 72, of 184 Sunset Drive, Danville, VA, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at his residence after a decline in his health since 1999. Born June 2, 1939 in Danville, VA, he was a son of the late Otis Stephen Ware and the late Thelma Begely Ware. He had lived his entire life in Danville, VA, and retired from Dameron Plumbing Company where he had worked as a plumber. Mr. Ware was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed gardening, caring for his yard and riding in the snow. On July 9, 1962 he married Betty Durham Ware, who survives. In addition to his wife, of the residence, he is survived by a son, Johnny Lee Ware, and his wife Myra, of Callands, VA; two granddaughters, Kelsey Lee Ware and Madalyn Rae Ware, both of Danville, VA; three brothers, Walter Ware, and wife Carolyn, of Ringgold, VA, John Ware of Cary, NC, and Adrian Ware of Chapel Hill, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Otis, Jr., Allen Ware, Wayne Ware, Rufus Ware and Claude Ware. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Legacy Hospice of the Piedmont for the special care given to Mr. Ware. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Wrenn-Yeatts, Westover Chapel with the Reverend Myron Bruce and the Reverend Carlton Ware officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the funeral home from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence. Also, they suggests memorials may be made to the Danville Cancer Association, 2323 Riverside Dr., Suite J, Danville, VA 24540 or to the Danville Life Saving Crew, 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA 24541. Wrenn-Yeatts, Westover Chapel is serving the Ware family.”
