“BRIDGEPORT — Nelda Josephine Matheny Ware, 76, of Clarksburg, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at Clarksburg Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Clarksburg. She was born March 2, 1929, in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late Irvin Hood Matheny and Addie Childers Matheny.

Ms. Matheny was formerly employed at the Robinson Grand Theater. She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting. In addition, she loved the outdoors, especially fishing and working in her garden.

Ms. Matheny is survived by: Two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin Neil Matheny, and Jody Donald and Heather Dawn Ware; two grandchildren, Rebecca Sitzs and Brooke Nicole Matheny; and two great-granddaughters, Tyler Sitzs and Parker Matheny.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ware; two brothers, Warn Alden Matheny, and Irvin Russell Matheny; and three sisters, Blanche Matheny, Florence Matheny and Bernice Ruth Matheny Greathouse.

Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 East Main Street, Bridgeport, WV, on Monday, July 10, 2006, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Steven Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow at the Stonewall Park Cemetery in Stonewood, WV.

The Ware family has entrusted the care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, 215 East Main St. Bridgeport.”
