A Due West man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck Sunday morning at the intersection of New Market Street and Mosscreek Drive in Greenwood, according to Greenwood County Coroner Sonny Cox.

Benjamin Thomas Ware, 32, of 64 Ivy Lane in Due West, died at the scene at 4:54 a.m. Sunday, Cox said.

The coroner said Ware died from blunt force trauma sustained in the crash and added he has ruled the fatality as accidental.

Ware was wearing a seatbelt, Cox said.

The wreck is still under investigation by the Greenwood Police Department and the Greenwood County Coroner’s Office.
