Born in Yalobusha County, he lived in Courtland since 1995 after previously living in Oxford for several years. He worked as a retail manager at several convenience stores for more than 30 years. Travel, country music, spending time with family, children and grandchildren were all things he enjoyed. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Christy Elaine Ware Busby of Abbeville and Melissa Kathryn Ware Wildmon of Oxford; two sons, Michael Dean Ware of Oxford and Steven Lynn Ware of Batesville; one brother, Roy Ware of Germantown, Tenn.; three sisters, Betty Pullen of Water Valley, Patricia Hubert of Houston, Texas, and Clara Murphy of Bartlett, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren.
