veteran of World War II

Seybert “”Steve” C. Ware, 85, of Lester, Tinicum, a former lumber company employee, died July 12 at Taylor Memorial Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Ware lived in the Lester much of his life. He worked for Charles Ahrens & Sons Lumber Co. of Delaware County for 20 years before his retirement.

Mr. Ware was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.

Surviving are his wife, Esther Schmidt Hibbert Ware of Lester; two stepsons, Charles D. Schmidt Jr. of Richboro, Pa. and Walter D. Schmidt of Chula Vista, Calif.; a brother Walter Ware of Camden, N.J.; and four step-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held ast 11 this morning at the P.E. Church of St. John the Evangelist, 3rd and Wanamaker Avenue, Essington.
