She was a faithful and dedicated worker in The House of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bishop James W. Nelson and Deaconess Cora Nelson; brother, Lee Wesley; and sister Corena.
Survivors include two brothers, Andrew Nelson, Chicago, James (Elizabeth) Nelson, Chattanooga; brother-in-law, Edward Pryor, devoted niece and nephew, caretaker, Johnnie (Charles) Ware, host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and devoted friend, Inez Smith.
Funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at The House of God Church, 2020 Blackford St., with Bishop Henry Dillard and Tr. Bishop Martha J. Thomas officiating.
Interment in Highland Memorial Gardens.
The body will lie in state after noon today at the McCallie Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.
